Bole Festival

About us

In 2016, Bolé Festival lit its first flame — a humble gathering where grilled plantain met pepper sauce, laughter filled the air, and strangers became friends over shared plates. Since then, It's grown into something much bigger.

Today, Bolé Festival welcomes over 40,000 BFFs (Bolé Festival Fam) from across Nigeria and beyond — all drawn by the unforgettable mix of food, music, games, art, and connection.

But here's the thing — it was never just about the food. It's about celebrating who we are. It's about losing your home training for one weekend and remembering what it feels like to live fully — to eat with your hands, dance without shame, laugh till your stomach hurts, and connect with people from all walks of life.

Eat. Play. Connect.

It started as a tagline, now It's a movement.

We're more than a festival — we're a homecoming, a cultural statement, a celebration of identity.
And we're just getting started.

Our Mission: Bringing People Together Through Food, Fun, and Culture

We believe connection is the heart of every great experience, and when you mix bold flavours, vibrant energy, and authentic community, magic happens.

That's why Bolé Festival is more than a party — It's a platform for people to eat, play, and connect in ways that leave lasting joy.

A Community-Focused Festival

Bolé Festival isn't just for the culture — It's by the culture. Every edition is built on collaboration, creativity, and community impact.

Here's how we give back:

Empowering Local Businesses

We spotlight small businesses and grassroots talent — from grill masters and artisans to rising creatives — giving them a platform to shine, sell, and grow.

Creating Opportunities

Our festival creates seasonal jobs and volunteer roles, especially for youths, giving them real experience in event planning, marketing, hospitality, and more.

Celebrating Diversity

We welcome people from all backgrounds, all walks of life. Bolé Festival is a safe, vibrant space for everyone — no matter your age, tribe, or taste in sauce.

Building a Legacy

With every edition, we invest in a stronger, more connected creative economy — one that keeps celebrating the Nigerian identity in fresh and exciting ways.

Recognised. Respected. Rooted.

Bolé Festival has grown from a small gathering in Port Harcourt to a nationally celebrated cultural event — and the world is taking notice. We're honoured to be recognized for doing what we love: bringing people together through food, music, and connection.
